Interview with George Takei Today we listened to an interview of Star Trek actor George Takei. He said he was 4 years old when WW2 started for the USA (Pearl Harbor). Young Japanese-Americans wanted to join the army, but they were rejected because they looked like the enemy. Then, we understood the Japanese-Americans were incarcerated in internment camps because they could have been spies and saboteurs. Their homes and businesses were taken from them. Warm Up AI 20 June 1090 chess The Sentinels of Liberty Today we studied the last page of the first issue of Captain America, which was released around 1942. We noticed he was unmasked by a little kid called Bucky. Bucky became his sidekick (his companion) in the end. But it's stupid, it doesn't make sense to have a little boy as help. In fact, it was a marketing strategy for the young readers to identify with the hero.  Likewise ( de même ), there's a subscribing proposition for a club called the Sentinels of Liberty. It's strange, because kids are supposed to fight against spies in the USA...
